Hamburg manufacturer launches new VoIP hardware

A manufacturer based in Hamburg, Germany, has launched a new headset designed for use with VoIP solutions and more general communications.

Roccat's Vire Mobile Communication Gaming Headset is a lightweight device that offers an in-line microphone and earphones, which can be used for online gaming, mobile communication or as an attachment on MP3 players.

The technology on offer is well-suited to VoIP solutions as the microphone filters out background noise and enhances the clarity of speech, while it is notable for being the first headset to provide a microphone and earphones that can be used with PCs as well as mobile phones.

In addition, the earphones are comfortable to wear for long periods of time as, unlike many headsets, they do not encase the user's full ear but instead offer an open style and they are ergonomically designed.
