Analytics tool for VoIP phones releasedA new solution which aims to provide analytic detail for call centres which use VoIP phones, has been released. LiveVox claims that its RPC Cost Optimiser can be used by businesses to manage the costs involved in telephony marketing campaigns and is the first of its kind in the hosted environment. It uses termination codes to measure the efficiency of agents and how many calls are actually getting results. The company's chief marketing officer, John McNamara, said that businesses with premise-based operations suffer from a lack of clarity in terms of the actual costs of telephony. "Even in the hosted environment, minimum billing increments, dual-line charges and set-up fees make it difficult for an agency to understand true costs," he said. "This is as tough a collection environment as I have seen in my 25 years in the industry. Vendors need to make it easy for clients to understand costs and ROI on their product." Earlier this week ClearSight revealed that it had enhanced its Network Time Machine for analysing VoIP phones. It will now be able to support network time protocol (NTP) servers.
