Mobile broadband sales "through the roof" Mobile broadband sales have soared in one part of Yorkshire, according to Carphone Warehouse. The mobile phone retailer has revealed that an increasing number of people in Hull are choosing handsets with broadband capabilities. A spokesperson from one Carphone Warehouse branch in Hull told Broadband Expert that this is because residents do not have access to some deals offered by major providers. "We have seen mobile broadband sales go through the roof recently, showing that our customers and the residents of Hull want not only more choice in their broadband provider, but are also looking for better value," the representative said. Carphone Warehouse recently announced that it will exclusively stock Nokia's rival to the iPhone, the 5800 XpressMusic handset later this month. The handset will allow users to download music from the internet and use it as a portable music player. Posted on: 2008-10-09, in: Broadband |
