VoIP phones 'cheaper than larger providers'Posted 1 year 11 months ago in: General VoIP ![]() Telappliant News: 2008-10-03 Rate this article: VoIP phones can be a cheaper option for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) than many larger providers, according to an industry expert. Dr Adam Le Gresley, head of operations at Technology Means Business (TMB), believes that the cost saving benefits of VoIP phones hold for any workplace environment, "whether you're working from home or if it's a virtual organisation, you can have everything linked up to a relatively cheap voice-over-internet system". He described how using a VoIP solution at TMB, which is a national accreditation scheme for information and communications technology advisors, has caused phone bills to drop by nearly two thirds, while not being "terribly expensive to implement". Dr Le Gresley also described how easy it is to manage a VoIP solution, pointing out that, apart from a router and a special phone, "everything else is dealt with centrally by your VoIP provider service". "One of the benefits of this is that online you can pretty easily reorganise exactly how it works... in two seconds and it doesn't cost you anything, unlike a lot of the conventional market."
