Industry expert explains VoIP carrier typesPosted 3 years 6 months ago in: General VoIP ![]() Telappliant News: 2008-08-11 Rate this article: An industry expert has been explaining how one VoIP carrier differs from another, while pointing out the advantages they all share. A VoIP carrier makes it possible to carry out long distance communication with very few hassles, and is both cost-effective and high-speed, explains Kristen Kiya, a blogger on Best Syndication News. The types of VoIP carrier are as follows: a Tier-1 type has its own network and operates globally, a Tier-2 type leases services from a Tier-1 and delivers to their local area and a Tier-3 type leases and then provides for end-users in its domain. However, Ms Kiya is quick to point out they all have benefits. "The VoIP carrier service provider has become the ultimate means to access cheap VoIP services," she writes. Each VoIP carrier will provide different plans, which the customer must choose from, picking the one that best fits the business. She points out that the benefits are not only to do with cost, as the extra functionality available - such as conference calls - is also a bonus.
