International VoIP solution

A VoIP solution is now available which enables VoIP networks to connect to Deutsche Telekom's international network.

The Essentra EX VoIP solution was created by VocalTec Communications in partnership with the wholesale division of Deutsche Telekom, International Carrier Sales & Solutions (ICSS).

VoIP providers can now use the Deutsche Telekom network to carry their VoIP traffic and received guaranteed quality of service and security, as well as having their routing plan managed.

ICSS's vice president Helmut Angst said of the solution: "[It] satisfies all of our technical requirements, particularly in the reliability and interoperability required for interconnection with other VoIP networks and enables us to also quickly address innovative customer requests and projects."

Originating in Germany, Deutsche Telekom is one of the world's largest telecommunications and internet service providers, offering services on both fixed and mobile networks.

As well as ICSS the company has T-Mobile and T-Systems under its umbrella, and is represented in around 50 countries worldwide.
