VoIP phones praised by technology portalVoIP phones are being used more and more by both personal and business users instead of traditional phone services, according to TMCnet. The technology portal explains that VoIP phones provide users with a number of facilities, including the fact that it is easier for callers to be automatically routed to VoIP phones, regardless of the location of the person they are attempting to call. Also, long-distance plans introduced by VoIP companies have meant that users can get long calls for fixed fees. And people can take advantage of their VoIP account regardless of their location in the world, as long as they have access to a high-speed internet connection. "This may include messaging, video conversation, audio conferencing, managing an address book and informing interested parties about someone else's availability online," the portal notes. Finally, it mentions how VoIP systems can contact a person's fixed landline and mobile phone at the same time as part of call forwarding, making sure that callers reach one another on the first try.
