St Pancras gets Wi-FiFree Wi-Fi is now available at St Pancras International train station in London, meaning commuters will now be able to use their laptops as VoIP phones. The station has recently completed a ten-year renovation project and has become London's Eurostar terminal. One of the new features in the building is an internet lounge, but the Wi-Fi will be available at every platform and throughout the station. Trains and Wi-Fi are becoming increasingly friendly in the UK, with the East Coast Main Line now offering free Wi-Fi onboard too, so travellers going from London up to Edinburgh can use VoIP phones to save on costs. Redevelopment of St Pancras cost £800 million. It first opened in 1868 and its train shed, by William Barlow, held the world record for the largest enclosed space for a long time. The new station also contains Europe's longest champagne bar and will soon host a daily farmers' market. Posted on: 2008-08-06, in: General VoIP |
