Digium launches VoIP solution for SMBsVoIP provider Digium has unveiled a new IP PBX product specially designed for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The Switchbox AA300 is aimed at firms with up to 150 workers and can support 45 calls simultaneously. The rackmountable appliance supports VoIP in addition to having analogue trunks, T1/E1 lines and conferencing. Tristan Degenhardt, product line director for Digium's Switchvox roster, said: "In the SMB space there's a large concern about price. "Because it's Asterisk we can offer functionality other PBX vendors can't." Digium general manager Joshua Stephens added: "The result of all our work is more options for customers that let them get rid of expensive phone systems, yet keep all the functionality of a PBX designed for the largest business." The AA300, priced at $4,240, is the third and final product in the Switchbox range. It comes after the firm released the AA60, for SMBs with up to 30 employees, and the AA350, designed for 400 users or less. Posted on: 2008-06-17, in: General VoIP, IP PBX |
