Investment firm installs VoIP solution

David Lerner Associates has signed a deal that will see the firm acquire integrated VoIP trading turrets as part of an upgrade to its current IP-PBX system.

The VoIP hardware will enable the investment company, based in Syosset, New York, to deliver a more coordinated and efficient communication system

The trading turrets, which will be installed by IP Trade, can also be customised to suit business demands by purchasing new applications.

William Mason, EVP Trading at David Lerner Associates, told finextra.com: "We were looking for a proven, cost-effective trading communications solution to replace our legacy turret systems. The IP Trade solution will simply sit on top of our existing IP-PBX system and allow us to benefit from all the scalability and flexibility that VoIP enables."

The company, founded in 1975, now handles securities worth over $1 billion every year in addition to offering customers advice on their financial portfolio.
