O2 launches business broadband package for SMEs

O2 UK has unveiled a new broadband service offering high speed connections to small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The business broadband package provides wireless connection speeds up to 20Mbps with unlimited downloads. Consumers outside the O2 Local Loop Bundle coverage will be able to connect to the network via BT's service.

The mobile operator is also prioritising business enquires to its 24/7 support service, while it is also supplying on-site support.

Sally Cowdry, marketing director of O2 UK, claimed the new packages would provide "a quality service" for consumers.

She added: "With a great track record behind us, we feel we are in a strong position to go after a larger market share, offering nationwide broadband coverage and a business proposition alongside a proven, excellent service."

Current O2 customers can sign up for the business offering for £15 per month, while new customers will face a £20 month charge.
