Polycom launches recycling initiativeVoIP phone manufacturer Polycom has launched a new recycling initiative. The company has teamed up with Sims E-Recycling to recycle old phones. Called No More Buzz, the programme will initially run for three months, and take old conference phones from users and provide them with a discount certificate to go towards new Polycom products. Polycom senior marketing manager, Sharonika Pratap, told ARN: "We hope this is the beginning of a long partnership with Sims E-Recycling for future initiatives." "We've invited key resellers to participate in the program, and we've given them all the materials they need to take to their customers. We're also running sales competitions for the top sellers through this initiative," Ms Pratap said. The campaign is part of a wider effort by Polycom to reduce its carbon footprint. It has recently undertaken training for all its staff in how to reduce travel and increase video conferencing. Posted on: 2008-04-02, in: General VoIP, Telephony technology, VoIP Hardware |
