Tiscali launches VoIP-ready broadband line

Larger businesses look set to benefit from a new product launched by Tiscali which the firm claims will reduce costs and improve efficiency.

The new ten-line Voice Ready Broadband is a specially designed broadband service aimed at supporting real time applications such as Voice over ADSL, Video Streaming and Video Conferencing.

It will join a number of other products already available in the Tiscali Wholesale Connectivity ADSL product set, including a four-line Voice Ready Broadband offering which went on sale in May 2007.

"Voice Ready has already proven to be extremely popular with SMEs and our intention with this latest development is to bring the benefits of Premium Broadband to companies with larger and more demanding communications requirements," said Tiscali Business Services product and marketing director Lance Spencer.

"We can now support up to ten standard telephone channels across a single DSL line which means that the cost is very attractive and the product itself is comprehensive and highly flexible."

It is targeted towards resellers as a cheaper alternative to PSTN and ISDN based services.
