Bright future predicted for IP telephonyMaking calls over the internet is set to become second nature for business and commercial users as VoIP continues to develop new features and grow in popularity, it has been suggested. According to TMC.net, the cost of voice calls using secure VoIP systems or an IP PBX has become even cheaper, while long-distance and international calls have also seen a drop in price. In addition, TMC.net said that firms are being attracted to IP telephony by the mobility and flexibility of VoIP as their employees can stay in touch and receive calls wherever they are. "VoIP termination business plan assists mobile workers or contact centre employees to work from their home or while on the move at much cheaper rates and in some cases free of cost too," the web publication noted. Giving employees greater freedom to do their jobs without having to be in the office should allow companies to save on workspace and reduce their carbon footprint due to the reduced number of rush-hour journeys made by their staff.
