VoIP declared among technology's "greatest gifts"

Voice over internet protocol (VoIP) services have been described as being of so much importance to its users that it is one of the "greatest gifts" of technology.

Online news service TCMnet said that the ability to connect with people around the world for minimal fees from anywhere with a broadband connection via a VoIP system has freed up communications from fixed line technology.

"It is a more cost effective and efficient mode of communication," the web publication noted, before suggesting that such has been the growth of VoIP that the days of fixed lines were numbered

"Don't let this revolutionary service go past you for you would be missing on a chance to not just save huge bucks but will also mean you falling behind while others brush past you on the road to success," advised the article's author.

TMCnet previously urged companies to make the switch to a VoIP telephony system soon as the growth of VoIP providers offering business-targeted services meant there was increasing competition in the marketplace which meant more good deals were emerging.
